Grady & Sterling jumped right into a new construction project. I returned home from a great SNAP 2014 conference and Home Depot was one of our generous sponsors. They provided us with some Kids Workshops projects. When I got home the boys decided to build the Birdhouses first.
Everything in the kit is already cut and the holes are predrilled for the nails and screws but there is still lots of work for them to do. Just because it is predrilled doesn’t mean that the nails just fall in. Oh no – There is lots and lots of hammering going on.
Sterling learned how to protect his thumb while hammering.
After we got the sides nailed on they had to screw the bottom on. They had to screw them tight to bring the two pieces of wood together.
After we completed construction then came the creative work. PAINT!!
Sterling asked Grandpa for a little help.
Completed Project!! They took them home and with daddy’s help they plan to hang them in their yard.
